Terms of Service

Beta status

Tnkrton is a work in progress. Features, layouts, and workflows change frequently — sometimes daily. Tools may be incomplete, things may break, and despite our best efforts, data loss is possible. The service is provided free of charge during the beta, and we may add, change, or remove functionality at any time. Export anything you can't afford to lose.

Optional support

The web app is free to use. Support payments through Stripe are voluntary, one-time contributions in an amount you choose. They do not purchase beta access, a Pro license, a subscription, or a preorder. Pro is still in development; any future subscription or preorder will have its own offer and terms.

Your account

You need an account to save work to the cloud. You are responsible for the activity that happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials to yourself. You must be at least 13 years old to use Tnkrton.

Your content stays yours

You keep all rights to the designs, images, text, and files you upload to or create in Tnkrton. We do not own your content and we do not claim any ownership interest in it — publishing a game you designed in Tnkrton requires no permission from us and owes us nothing.

So that the service can function, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, and display your content — solely to provide the service to you (saving your projects, rendering your designs, generating your exports). This license ends when you delete your content or your account.

In return, you are responsible for your content: only upload material you have the rights to use, and make sure your use of any third-party artwork or fonts complies with their licenses.

Acceptable use

Don't use Tnkrton to:

• Store or distribute content that is illegal or that infringes others' rights.
• Probe, disrupt, or overload the service or its infrastructure.
• Attempt to access other users' accounts or private content.
• Resell or provide the service to others as your own.

Our materials

The Tnkrton software, site design, name, and logo are ours. The editor's icon library and fonts come from third parties under their own licenses — see the About page for attribution, and note that content you export containing those icons remains subject to their license terms (CC BY 3.0 attribution for game-icons.net artwork).

Termination

You can stop using Tnkrton at any time and may ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, and during the beta we may need to suspend the service itself for maintenance or changes. If we ever plan to shut the service down entirely, we will make reasonable efforts to give you notice and a chance to export your work.

Disclaimers and liability

Tnkrton is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied — including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of the beta. Because the service is free during the beta, our total liability for any claim is limited to $50.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms as the beta evolves; material changes will be reflected on this page with a new date at the top, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Tnkrton's operator resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
